As a high school student, Earl Jordan “Turk” Mackie was infatuated with football, but he was more interested in the mechanics and structure of the game. As a result, he was fortunate to eventually become the first student coach of Warren Easton Charter High School in New Orleans, LA. Through this experience, he was able to see a future for himself in sports off of the field. This experience opened avenues for him that he didn’t know were possible. He now is a Junior at Louisiana State University (LSU) majoring in Sports Administration with a minor in Business.
